Chippewa River still under flood advisory

Flood Watch for Connecticut River later this week

This could allow river levels to rise to near major flood stage in a couple spots, especially along the Robertson/Leon and Brazos/Madison County lines.

According to the National Weather Service, the flood waters are in the process of receding well below the flooding level.

The flood advisory issued last week was extended early Tuesday morning for many rivers in MI as April weather brings spring flooding to the state.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout Wednesday morning and afternoon.

Minor flooding along the Mississippi River has almost peaked, and the river is expected to fall back below flood stage by this weekend.

The temperature has climbed high enough to set a couple of records in New England - and to cause melting snow that's contributing to minor flooding. Flood stage is 12 feet.

A flood warning for the Ohio River at Cairo remains in effect until late Friday night.

The Connecticut River is now below flood stage, but will come closest to flood stage on Thursday.
