PJ Tucker key to Raptors' late comeback over Bulls

NBA Prime Time: Bulls vs Raptors Game Preview

The Bulls, who wore black armbands after the death earlier in the day of former longtime general manager Jerry Krause, raced out to an early nine-point lead and took a 31-27 advantage into the second quarter. Goran Dragic is averaging 20.2 points and 5.9 assists while Hassan Whiteside is averaging 16.8 points and 14.2 rebounds. Lopez threw a right punch that missed wildly while Ibaka's return right just caught the side of Lopez' head.

Nick Young got one game for this swipe at Goran Dragic, so it's fair to assume Ibaka and Lopez will both, at the very least, receive a one-game suspension.

Considering where Mirotic was a couple weeks ago, out of the rotation and nowhere near top of mind when it came to who would help the Bulls find themselves, it's somewhat gratifying.

"Toronto can continue going back and forth all game until they decide to make stops defensively".

Toronto assistant coach Jamaal Magloire was also fined $15,000 for acting as other than a peacemaker in the skirmish, which broke out with about four minutes left in the third quarter of a 122-120 overtime win by the Raptors. Lopez responded by grabbing the ball out of Ibaka's hand and tempers exploded. In the recent past, the Raptors have been the (much) better basketball team but, for whatever reason, the Bulls have dominated on-court match-ups against Toronto. In habitual manner, the Bulls unleashed no-name warriors Paul Zipser and Joffrey Lauvergne. It may have been one of the hardest wins that the Raptors worked for in weeks. His exceptional effort, literally rebounding everything in sight, was truly rubbing off on the rest of the team. They are 23-12 at home this season and the Bulls have a losing road record on the road at 13-22, so as long as the Raptors don't blow a big lead; like they did in their previous meeting with Chicago, then things should go their way tonight.

Chicago and Toronto traded miss after miss on each possession until DeRozan had enough.

The Bulls had won 11 in a row over the Raptors before Toronto got the win on Tuesday.

However, this game was about two NBA All-Stars, DeRozan and Jimmy Butler. The team's cohesion has never really been in doubt, but the way they galvanized around Ibaka and reacted to his fight spoke volumes.

The Raptors pulled off the phenomenal comeback led by DeRozan's offense (42 points) and P.J. Tucker's... everything else.

In the next minute of party returned to appear Jimmy Butler, scoring a basket in the middle distance and stealing a ball in the following play that turned in a tray to the counterattack.
