Marvel and Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4-exclusive game releasing this year

During the stream, Ryan Penagos, vice president and executive editor of Marvel Digital Media, confirmed that Spider-Man would be coming to PS4 later this year, along with a couple of other Marvel games.

Back during production on Spider-Man: Homecoming, a handful of journalists were invited to the set to see stars Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Michael Keaton (Adrian Toomes/Vulture) and co. all going to work.

Although there are now no official statements by Insomniac Games or from either the exclusive publisher Sony, as stated by Penagos, there seems to suggest a launch window for the highly anticipated Spider-Man, which therefore could already materialize in the course of this year.

First announced at E3 past year, Sony is yet to release any more footage of the upcoming superhero adventure. Insomniac's game isn't tied into this movie, but would no doubt benefit from being released this year.

Venom has always been the most popular Spider-Man villain, although Hollywood got the character wrong in his first appearance in Spider-Man 3. "You can't not give the development do justice to the game". The title comes from developer Insomniac Games, best known for game franchises including the Ratchet & Clank series.

More information about the game should be released in the coming months.
