The Airport Service Quality rankings were expanded to include best airports by size and region because of the growth of the program, the council said. IND was one of more than 300 participating in the survey. Each year the programme delivers some 600,000 individual surveys in 41 languages in 84 countries. In the survey, passenger feedback is taken on various parameters such as airport access, check-in, security screening, restrooms, stores and restaurants.

Worldwide passengers gave DFW high marks for the variety and quality of restaurants and shopping facilities, as well as for the ambience of the airport.
