Raiders LB Aldon Smith cooperating in police investigation

Under Investigation for Domestic Incident

Smith has not been arrested.

The linebacker is under investigation by San Francisco police after a possible domestic incident last weekend, reported Monday.

Aldon Smith might be all done in Oakland. Although Smith hasn't been charged with anything, a police source did tell TMZ that a report was taken and the case is under "active investigation".

The Raiders linebacker has been out of football since November 17, 2015, when the NFL suspended him for one year for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Regardless of the case's end result, Smith has solidified himself as a perennial bad boy, meaning National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell shouldn't think twice when considering his reinstatement as it's clear Smith isn't ready. "You already know it. Raider Nation, we got this s--". SN's Alex Marvez notes the Raiders have a zero-tolerance policy with regard to domestic violence.

Smith filed for reinstatement on October 3 before meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell. His current banishment stems from an August 2015 incident that brought misdemeanor charges of DUI, hit and run and vandalism and ultimately got him released by the 49ers. Smith set an National Football League record with 33.5 sacks in his first 32 National Football League games. He signed a new two-year contract last offseason.
