Falcons Super Bowl appearance causes hilarious tardy excuses

Share

An Atlanta-area student had good reason to be tardy the day after the Falcons fell in Super Bowl LI.

Smith might be moved to another position on the team.

Some one had to take the blame for the Atlanta Falcons blowing a 25-point lead in Super Bowl 51 on Sunday.

Quinn reportedly was calling the plays for about half the season.

Cox had spent three years with the Falcons, after spending a pair with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he coached their defensive line, and serving as their pass rush specialist. Will it be 3-4 or 4-3? The Falcons are considering in-house candidates Marquand Manuel, Jerome Henderson and Jeff Ulbrich as potential replacements.

Atlanta could also explore moving assistant head coach/wide receivers coach Raheem Morris to that defensive coordinator vacancy.

The Falcons announced on Tuesday that they hired a new offensive coordinator, Alabama coach Steve Sarkisian. Per multiple reports, quarterbacks coach Matt LaFleur will also leave the team to become offensive coordinator with the Rams. The 37-year-old former safety has been with Atlanta since 2015.

This was the Falcons' second ever Super Bowl appearance, after their loss to Denver in 1999. Manuel is now the defensive backs coach, Henderson is a defensive passing game coordinator and Ulbrich is the linebackers coach.
