That request, however, was denied as Thicke temporarily lost custody and the judge issued a restraining order against him, ordering that he stay away from both Paula and Julian.

According to sworn statements Patton made in court, Thicke was abusing drugs and alcohol, admitted to infidelity and was violent towards her during their marriage, which lasted for almost ten years. Thicke's lawyer said in papers that she's "intentionally tried to alienate Julian from Robin".

The judge granted the order after Patton, 41, told the court that the Blurred Lines singer was belligerent during visits with their son in the near-two years since their split.

Patton is having none of it, adding that Thicke also got physical with her during their marriage.

The Department of Children and Family Services launched an investigation into Robin Thicke in early January after Patton accused him of abusing their son.

According to E Online, the judge granted the Hitch actress temporary sole custody of the six-year-old boy. Robin is now not allowed near his son Julian for the time being, based on a judge's ruling.

While the main news around Paula Patton right now are her allegations of domestic abuse against ex Robin Thicke, we've recently learned that Patton has signed on to star in a new summer series for ABC. Her attorneys cited a California law that Thicke's behaviour during their marriage made Patton now feel a "reasonable apprehension of imminent serious bodily injury to herself and the child". Patton, in a sworn statement in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday, alleged that her ex-husband has a "raging, violent temper" and "regularly bedded other women" during their time together.

Leis' order, which will remain in effect until a February 24 hearing, includes a finding that Thicke has a history of domestic violence and is a risk to flee with his son. The attorney argued that it was a personal vendetta for Patton who wanted to discredit and hurt Thicke by every means necessary.

Thicke and Patton married in 2005 after 12 years of dating but the actress filed for divorce in 2014.
