Mobius Final Fantasy Getting Steam Release, Final Fantasy VII Collaboration Annouced

Square Enix has announced that their smartphone title, Mobius Final Fantasy, will be coming to Steam in the west on February 6th. According to project leader Naoki Hamaguchi players will be able to enjoy the game in extremely high quality in the realm of 60 FPS to 120 FPS. Progress can be shared between the mobile and PC versions.

Shortly after Mobius comes out on PC, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake collaboration event that ran in Japan launches on these shores. So make sure to head over to the campaign page and check out the full details to ensure the best prizes ahead of the release of Mobius Final Fantasy on Steam. Well, you won't have to wait much longer.

The gameplay, however, is exactly the same, and, like on mobile, it's free to download with microtransactions. Despite their generational differences, both men find common ground with the online game, bringing them closer together.

Mobius Final Fantasy was already available free of charge via Google Play and the iTunes Store for Android and iOS.

Commenting on the crossover, Hamaguchi said that players of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be joining Cloud on his adventures. These assets have come direct from the Final Fantasy VII Remake team so it is a taste of what to expect in that title. The collaboration will see Cloud, the Guard Scorpion, and the Mako Reactor set up to fit within the world of Mobius Final Fantasy. The game's character also return's the "Final Fantasy" job system where in players can customize the characters with endless combinations of jobs and abilities. A new trailer of the game running on Windows was released earlier this week.
